Vacancy: Business Support Manager, One Ark. Deadline: 8th September

Main Duties

  • Working alongside the Investment Fund Manager, promote awareness of and access to the social investment funds offered by the Group
  • To undertake an assessment of VCSE’s in conjunction with the Investment Fund Manager to identify the broader and individual support needs of potential investees to enable successful investment awards
  • To support the appraisal of investment applications undertaking detailed analysis of business capability, skills, track records and likelihood of success in returning the investment.
  • To provide direct business guidance and advice to potential investees, supporting the preparation of business plans and financial projections etc.
  • Working in conjunction with the Investment Fund Manager, assess the grant requirements of any potential investee
  • To coordinate the end to end fund administration process to ensure compliance with the requirements outlined in the Investment Manual meeting the successful management of the funds
  • Prepare reports on the performance of the fund for use internally and externally as required
  • To provide ongoing support to VCSE’s who have received investment during the life of their loan period to ensure the successful return of the investment and the delivery of the targeted social outcomes, including during periods of business distress

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Have a proven track record of providing a wide range of business support to VCSE organisations
  • To be self-motivated and driven to deliver strong outcomes
  • Must be able to assess the detail and be able to undertake an assessment of business capability
  • Must to be able to build strong professional relationships with VCSE’s to ensure an understanding of their support needs and develop trust to ensure they seek support when required
  • Have strong organisational skills and an ability to coordinate a range of activities and administer the day to day fund management
  • Has an ability to work under pressure and form part of a strong team
  • Suitable IT skills, including a working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong, clear and confident communication skills
  • Have an understanding of social investment funds and the benefits they can bring to VCSE’s
