WIRED SEND IAS service Manager  (Wirral, Liverpool & Knowsley)   Salary: £31,500 per annum (35 hours) plus benefits Contract period: Permanent subject to funding   Wired is a registered charity that provides a range of services to disabled adults, children, young people, parents and carers. The WIRED SEND IAS Manager will be responsible for the management, coordination, monitoring, evaluation and development of the Wirral and Liverpool & Knowsley combined SENDIAS  Services, providing impartial information, training and support to children and young people with additional/special needs and their parents/carers, ensuring that the Local Authority’s CYPS fulfil the requirements of Section 332a of the Education Act 1996,  Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014 and Section  2  of the SEND Code of Practice 2015. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing effective partnerships and dialogue between schools, parents/carers and the Local Authority ensuring children, young people and parents/carers are empowered to play an active role in their education or their child’s education.
  • Ensuring children and young people and their parents/carers rights and choices are promoted and their needs are represented at a strategic level in the development and delivery of services
