Windmills Annual Event – Wednesday 1 March 2017, Central Library, Liverpool
9.30am – 3pm
Come along to the Windmills event which this year has been designed to creatively support individuals who may be struggling to cope with the challenges that living today brings. Increasingly we hear of those who need support.
In a recent survey by BiTC 62% of respondents said they had experienced mental ill-health caused by work and felt they had been left to “suffer in silence”. Only this week the government stated one in four people has a mental disorder at some point in their life, and worryingly still young people are affected disproportionately with over half of mental health problems starting by the age of 14 and 75% by 18.
We want to discuss this and want you to be part of it.
Free of charge on the 1st of March Windmills encourages you to come along and hear about innovative and creative ways to support adults and young people with these issues. You may be developing resilience and positive mental health amongst young people; enhancing wellbeing and career drive in the workplace; or focusing on supporting key transitions such as restructure, redundancy and retirement; whatever your interest the event will enable you to explore a fresh perspective.
At the event you will have the chance to sample a portfolio of creative Windmills resources and activities to stimulate discussions and in tandem, explore ways to apply these supporting others at critical life stages. During this lively, participative and thought provoking day participants will explore positive mind-sets, values, vision, common obstacles to progress and the development of personalised pathways. Further enhanced by hearing from others working in this field, their experiences and lessons learned, the day will be of huge value and we look forward to seeing you there.
