LJMU graduate’s talent helps team win prestigious FSB Award

Arts graduate, Jon Dickson, celebrated with colleagues last week when the local agency he works for, Hitch Marketing, won Creative & Media Business of the Year.

The Federation of Small Business (FSB) award was presented to the Bromborough-based marketing team for their highly innovative use of design and media in the wide range of projects they have worked on.

The awards night was held at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool, where comedian and radio presenter, Ted Robbins, kept the audience entertained as compere. The award was sponsored by Liverpool John Moores University, where Jon previously graduated with a BA in Graphic Arts.

Jon who lives in Bebington and is Creative Studio Manager at Hitch Marketing said, ‘It’s great that our creative team have been recognised specifically for their part in the business, and their role in delivering cutting edge campaigns.’

Hitch Marketing, who recently celebrated 5 years in business, combine research, design and innovation to deliver behaviour change projects for their clients. Having rebranded Arriva’s Northern rail network, their client base has grown rapidly, and they are currently delivering projects to help people to stop smoking, reduce A&E attendance, and to improve life for refugees.

The panel of judges supported their decision by saying that Hitch Marketing, ’are an excellent growing company, creating work for great causes and supporting their staff’.

The FSB Merseyside, West Cheshire & Wigan Business Awards are open to local businesses in a wide range of fields, from construction to tourism, micro business to green impact. This years winners highlight the breadth and talent of businesses across the region.
