Granby Street Christmas Market promises to be our biggest and best yet at the Adult Learning Centre, Granby Street – Sunday 4th December.
We’ve got arts and crafts: beautiful pottery; amazing bags; handmade organic soaps, lotions and potions; Akoma Arts, prints, photographs…
The best bric a brac in the city.
Making, creating: screen-printing – make your own Xmas prints as well as a photography workshop with Red Eye.
Christmas wreaths, candles, decorations.
Eating: Halal Xmas dinners, vegan soup, mulled wine, roast chestnuts…pies, puds and wonderful bread from Homebaked…Faiza’s amazing chicken curries, Bettylicious’ African vegan food, Greg’s ‘Eat up god, flavours of the Caribbean’…home made cakes, biscuits
and then there’s the music…
CARLA AMBROSIUS is singing. She’s just absolutely outstanding. Power, emotion, control – and great voice.
Beatlife (Smithdown Road Primary After School club) will be performing their fab mix of percussive and samba rhythms to get the party started!
L8 band is playing – brilliant guitar and vocals…
DJ Ivan will be making an appearance.
Our own African Mother Xmas will be manning the grotto alongside the Alwood Donkeys who will be bringing Christmas cheer with free donkey rides.
And if 4 legs isn’t your thing Bike Lad will be making sure your bikes are sweet and ready to keep you going during the winter months. Bike Lad also have over 10 bikes lovingly revived by their mechanics for sale at bargain prices with all the raised going towards keeping our free community bike servicing going in 2017.
